Soup Mix with Dulse is a chopped blend of digitata, alaria, and dulse. It makes excellent chowders. A non-dairy vegetarian soup or chowder begins with dulse soup mix, rolled oats for thickener, sautéed onions and thyme, potatoes and cut corn, seasoned to taste.  A seafood chowder can be made by adding haddock, scallops, clams or lobster.
